Elite Pipeline Services News

We recently completed cleaning and repair of a 30 inch de-icing line. The line had a six inch hole bored through it at 10:00 and 7:00 position directly in the middle of a joint. What made this repair difficult was after boring through the line, seven yards of slurry was pumped into the line unnoticed. The slurry ran approximately 200 feet and was five inches thick in places, and had already set. To make the repair we first had to remove the slurry by hand and haul it out some 800 feet. Once the slurry was removed an internal seal and plate were installed over the hole to complete the repair.
