Internal Pipe Joint Seals
Sealing and repairing pipe joints with Elite Pipeline
Joints between piping are some of the key pressure points throughout your system, so when they fall into a state of disrepair, they can cause some major problems for your piping network. Leaks and corrosion can lead to serious problems which can disrupt your business operations for months on end while you repair and rehabilitate your piping.
At Elite Pipeline, we have a trusted and proven solution for damaged pipe joints, created to offer trenchless repairs to minimize disruption to your business.
We call it internal joint sealing.
Here’s how it works – we’ll install an internal rubber seal banded into place, using stainless steel, onto your joint or onto the part of the pipe that’s in poor condition. The leak free clamp forms a bottle-tight, robust and non-corrodible seal that goes right the way around the circumference of the pipe. All of our seals are rated for 300 psi internal pressure and up to 40psi external pressure (dependent on proper design).
Each seal is gripped into place using stainless steel retaining bands. We’ll get these bands installed using hydraulic installation, a trusted, proven and efficient process that’ll keep the seal flexible in case of thermal expansion and any future pipe movement. To ensure we’ve completed the work to your satisfaction and our professional pride, we artificially expand, re-expand and air-test the seal to guarantee leak-free results.
Our installed joint seals are the best in any industry, suitable for water, nuclear and municipal applications and ideal for preventing infiltration or exfiltration on new and existing pipeline. Approved by nuclear safety boards and NSF 16, these are seals with a guaranteed 50-year design life, designed for longevity and endurance, and tailored to suit diameters from 18” to 210”.
Our joint seal installation work is always carried out by a team of trained and dedicated specialists, with decades of experience between them to correctly and safely insert and test any seal in any pipeline. Throughout every project, we keep our clients in the know with in-depth, concise, and informed reports that explain our process step-by-step, pipe-by-pipe.
With the right equipment, the right experience and the right training, Elite Pipeline is the US’ leading installer of pipe joint internal sealing, serving the leaders in the nuclear, municipal and water industries with a quality professional service.
